The Alamo City will see a new sushi restaurant open near the San Antonio Museum of Art. The new restaurant known as Shiro will combine new ideas with old school sushi principles. Grey Hwang, owner of Shiro and several other sushi restaurants said an associate of his, who recently studied at the Culinary Institute of America at Pearl, turned him towards opening a restaurant in San Antonio.
“She told me to stop by. So I took a quick trip down there and liked it. I can see that the culinary scene there is growing,” he said. “We’ve been looking for space for a long time. When she suggested that our food would be a good fit downtown, we focused on downtown.”
Investment Realty’s own James Murry provided tenant representation for Shiro during the process and believes Grey will see success within the downtown market.
“I think Grey’s restaurant will bring a new take on sushi that San Antonio needs to see. His prime location coupled with his experience is sure to keep customers coming back. ”
Shiro has begun the design process of their restaurant and plans to open in July. For assistance in Tenant Representation please call: 210.828.9261
