The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported on July 16th that the month of June demonstrated an increase in the Cost of Living. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 0.5 percent. A majority of this increase is linked to gasoline prices which jumped 6.3 percent accounting for about two thirds of the increase. Compare this to all of 201, when, in SAN Antonio, the CPI was up 2.1 percent for the entire year. A half percent in one month is eye-opening don’t you think?
