San Antonio Apartment Rents Trend Upward

November 18, 2016

Although rents have dropped throughout the country or flatlined, San Antonio has seen a 6.1% increase compared to this time last year according to the National Rent Report by Zumper. Luxury apartment units that have come online throughout the city have helped in boosting citywide average rental rates upward. After analyzing 100 rental markets throughout the United States, Zumper gave San Antonio a ranking of 50th place, while median rental rates have increased they are still lower than the national average at $870 for one bedroom units, and $1,110 for two bedroom units. For now, the city is by far one of the most affordable metros in the state with Dallas ranking in the 23rd place, Austin at 26th, and Houston taking the 31st  place on the list.
