CNBC’s conducted an annual survey of top states in the U.S. for business. Texas came in second place for the second year in a row. The study rates the states based on how they market themselves on an economic standpoint.
When it comes to consistent competitiveness Texas has no peer, but is facing big challenges with education. Texas ranked 1st and 2nd on economy and infrastructure, respectively, but Texas is resting in the bottom half of the 50 states in the ranking of education and quality of life categories. Utah ranked as first place and Rhode Island came in 50th.
