In response to growing e-commerce activity, warehouses are being built taller, and homebuilders are struggling to fill jobs that American citizens are uninterested in occupying. Labor turned energy sector workers not returning to the construction industry post-recession, generational attitudes, changing immigration policies, travel bans, and President Trump’s proposed border wall are all giving cause to the current shortage of workers in the homebuilding industry.
